When the Leesburg property was purchased, CSX had a working train that ran from along 441, through the airport, camp, and between Lake Harris and the original homes South of camp. From there it continued through Leesburg.
For the first years of camp there were fences one each side of the track. Staff were stationed at a crossing to watch for the train when campers went to and from the waterfront.
By the end of the 80s the train stopped and the tracks removed. The property was eventually deeded back to camp in the early 2000s.
This explains the camp sign, logo, and the design of the Dining Hall to look like a train depot.
