The first summer at Camp Horizon (Leesburg) was 1976.
The cabins were freshly built and the staff spend the night before camp putting together lockers and bunks. The cabins had no insulation, no inside walls, and no ceiling. They were truly rustic (no air-conditioning). A step up from Lakewood Retreat was inside showers and toilets.
